Samsung Flight User Manual
Samsung Flight or A797 is one of Samsung slider phones, it was made by Samsung mobiles for AT&T. This mobile work on GSM network, the bands are 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, while for 3G network, it work on HSDPA 850 / 1900. Samsung Flight was released on November 2009 and now its available for sale in the market. You can find this phone on eBay just for $65.
The dimensions of Samsung Flight A797 is 105.9 x 55.9 x 12.7 mm, while the weight is 136 g. On the user interface, it use TFT resistive touchscreen, 256K colors and the screen size and resolution are 240 x 320 pixels, 2.8 inches (~143 ppi pixel density). Other features that are pinned in this section are QWERTY Keyboard and TouchWiz v2.0 UI. So, Samsung Flight can called as touch and type cell phone.
In the audio section, it equipped with loudspeaker and support for mp3 and WAV ringtones. But, one of the Samsung Flight A797 disadvantages is that this phone not equipped with 3.5 mm audio jack. So, it is quite hard when we want to connect this phone with another audio devices like power speaker etc.
In the memory section, Samsung Flight can save up to 2000 phone numbers with photo call. To store data, it has 190 MB internal memory, this capacity still can be added by using microSD card because Samsung A797 also equipped with an external memory slot for microSD. The maximum capacity of data storage is 32 GB.
Connectivity with the internet can be done via GPRS, EDGE, or 3G network. The GPRS class of Samsung Flight is Class 10 (4+1/3+2 slots), 32 - 48 kbps, while for EDGE class is Class 10, 236.8 kbps. On the 3G network, the maximum speed that can be reached by Samsung A797 is 3.6 Mbps. Other connectivity tools that available are Bluetooth and microUSB v2.0.
In the camera section, Samsung Flight A797 equipped with 2 MP, 1600x1200 pixels camera, it also support for video recording. Other features that owned by this phone including WAP 2.0 / xHTML (NetFront) browser, GPS with AT&T navigator, Java support MIDP 2.0, MP4/H.263/H.264 player, MP3/eAAC+/WAV/WMA player, Photo editor, etc.
